FDA had approved 30 first-time PMAs and three HDEs in 2015 to 2016, representing a 50% increase over the 20 first-time PMAs approved in the same period last year. The cardiology industry is expected to grow at 4.4% (CAGR) to $54.2bn in 2020. The European interventional cardiology devices market was valued at $3.9 billion in 2013 and is expected to reach $6.1 billion by 2018, at a CAGR of 9% during the forecast period.

Engineering

The engineering, electrical, Information technology and metal industry occupies a key position in the Swiss national economy: it is the biggest industrial employer, with approximately 320,000 employees and contributes 31 per cent by of the goods exported from Switzerland, with exports at a value of CHF 63 billion in 2015 and expected to raise by 25 per cent by 2020.
