Gothenburg City Highlights

Gothenburg has undergone a transformation from as industrial sea side town towards an innovative magnificent city. The city still shows the heritage for example fishing which was a part of city’s culture. There was a unique range of fresh fish and one can observe the quays unloaded by the fishing boats in the early mornings. In the second half of 1900’s, a shipyard crisis blew hard against the city of Gothenburg. Gradually the shipbuilding industries got liquidated as it was one of the largest employers in the town. Gothenburg successfully developed the areas which were replaced by those shipbuilding industries.
