About Prague|Prague Conferences

Prague is the capital and greater city of the Czech Republic. It is the 15th biggest city in the European Union. It is also the archival capital of Bohemia. Positioned in the north-west of the country on the Vltava River, the city is central to about 1.26 million people, while its larger urban zone is predicted to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate climate, with mild summers and chilly winters. Prague has the lowest unemployment rate in the European amalgam. Prague has been a political, cultural, and economic median of central Europe with waxing and waning fortunes during its 1,100-year existence. Prague was endowed during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque generation, Prague was not only the capital of the Czech state, but also the lounge of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus also the capital of the Holy Roman federation. It was an important city to the Habsburg Monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian Empire and later World War I became the capital of Czechoslovakia.

Pharmaceuticals

Total health spending assumed for 7.5% of GDP in the Czech Republic in 2012. In the Czech Republic, 84% of health spending was subsidized by public sources in 2012. Health funding in the Czech Republic has grown very slowly in recent years.

Nursing

Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope funds $150,000 a two year allotment to implement the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium, a national education enterprise to improve palliative care, in the Czech Republic.

International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) funds $150,000 two year allotment to guide a collaborative project that accommodates a series of capacity-building Tobacco Cessation Leadership Workshops to educate nurses on overture in tobacco restriction, cancer prevention, treatment and care.

National Centre of Nursing and Other Health Professions funds $110,146 two year grant to guide a project to educate community nurses in cancer prevention and to strongly engage nurses in the education and encouragement of healthy lifestyle for cancer patients.

Immunology

The meadow of allergy and clinical immunology is one of the quickly growing areas among medical science in Czech Republic.

Market for autoimmune medication reached at $34 billion in 2010, it is expected to reach at $38.9 billion by 2011 and it will farther grow to $55 billion by 2016. Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and France also had per capita donates above the European average, which was estimated at €1.2. Industry funding of brain research (€3.25 billion) is larger than industry funding of cancer research (€2.5 billion).

Cancer investigation in Europe received about €1.5 billion of public funding (50% government and 50% charities) and around €2.5 billion of industry funding.

Cardiology

The market for cardiac medical devices is habitual to reach about $67.5 billion in 2019. The market for cardiac equipment growth had risen from $49.4 billion in 2013 to $52 billion in 2014. The market for heart-lung and pump apparatus and grew from $2.6 billion in 2012 to $3.4 billion in 2014.

The European interventional cardiology equipment market was valued at $3.9 billion in 2013 and is expected to reach $6.1 billion by 2018, at a CAGR of 9% during the estimated period.

Market Trends in Europe Interventional Radiology and Cardiology" finds that the market earned roughly $336.7 million in 2012 and estimates this to reach $352.6 million in 2016. The European cardiology PACS market was priced at $118.1 million in 2013, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.2% from 2014 to 2019.

In Europe, an average of 10.4% of (GDP) is funded on healthcare. Expenditure on medical technology per capita in Europe is at around €195.

Chemistry

Market Size of chemistry is approximately $ €543 billion a year. With a workforce of 1.2 million and sales of €527 billion (2013). Generally, Europe has been a leader in chemicals manufacturing. The European chemical industry holds a better position. When counting both EU and non-EU countries, total sales for the region were €673 billion in 2011. Chemicals sales in 2012, prized at €51.7 billion, nearly half of which was attributed to four EU countries – Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic and Finland. Total EU chemicals business was worth €558 billion in 2012. EU chemicals sales in 2012 were 34.5 per cent greater compared with 2002. During the period from 2002 to 2012, EU chemicals sales enlarged on average by 3 per cent per annum. During the 11-year period from 2001 to 2012, the chemical company in the European Union had an regular production growth rate of 0.6 per cent, a rate marginally higher than the 0.4 per cent for all of the production industry. Growth in EU chemicals manufacturing in 2010 was spectacular, embracing 10.6 per cent year on year. The overall economic recovery in Europe was feeble, however, with anaemic production growth in 2011 – 1.9 per cent in volume terms, followed by a 2.3 per cent year-on-year contraction in 2012.
